The invention of the bicycle in the 19th century opened up a new and popular method of transport, used throughout the country for travelling, sport and leisure. by the 1930s, cycling was at its most popular and bicycles were affordable enough for almost everyone. A roaring trade in cycling handbooks and manuals advised people in maintaing their bicycle.
Our cycling cards have been adapted from a 1936 manual, and are hand printed using our Victorian printing press.
